Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Beach
A helicopter hovering above a crowded California shoreline suddenly commenced twirling out of control, eventually dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers looked on.
Recordings shared on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then descending towards the perimeter of the shore, where it becomes wedged among palm trees and a steps near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
Local firefighters said five individuals were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.

The department said the helicopter was connected to an regular “Cars with Copters” fundraising event scheduled for the following day.
